I'm an architect/artist.
I'm very much occupied with the space first.
- The space facilitates the objects in spaces.
- The space makes possible the act of creation.
- There is a slumbering, yet very interesting dialectic between the space and the objects in space.
I consider the transformation/appropriation of space as much an important part of the work as are the objects in it. I create the object that makes possible the creation of another object. Both objects are intertwined very intimately.
e.g. big easel for big painters
I want to further deepen the relationships between the space and the object. I'd like to expose and exploit this mutual necessity, presuming the whole as a work.
Within this line of thought, the work cannot be seperated from life;
I would even dare to say that the work is life itself, an attitude with which you live it.
If for example I make a painting, it's not only about the image of the painting, it's about how I make this painting, the context in which I make, how it is related to all the other objects, how it's hung up onto the wall.There's formal proportions and there's relations regarding significance.
For me, there are no borders, no limitations. If one is to ask me what I do, my answer would be: To live life with passion, to live it good and try my best possible.
This, I tend to believe is the work of art.
